After spending the first 35 years of her life in North Korea, Holly knew that if she wanted to live beyond all of the restrictions and pursue her dreams, she would have to leave her homeland. On her third attempt at defection she finally made it to China but was sold as a bride and quickly ended up pregnant. Determined to give her daughter a better life, she knew she needed to find a way to escape to freedom.
